The Victoria government is trying to sell its 1,000 aged care beds in order to save $75M. This now includes 129 non-operational beds in Ballarat. The advertisement states a preference will be given to buyers that will keep the licences in the Ballarat region, but it is not required, causing concern amongst locals on ongoing supply of beds.
