Village burglaries and affray rife across Australia

1 min read

Five years ago village burglaries were unheard of. No more. Five teenage boys aged 13 to 16 have been charged for stealing from several ILU’s in Amaroo Retirement Village at Gosnells (Perth). Two men in their 20’s also broke into Amaroo at 3am in a different incident, then moved on to Buckey Caring Centre where they made ‘indecent’ proposals to two elderly women aged 88 and 90. They actually turned on the lights to see what they were doing, ignoring the elderly residents. On Queensland’s Sunshine Coast jewellery and money have been stolen from four retirement villages over the past four weeks located in Caloundra, Buderim and Maroochydore.
