Karingal Green at High Wycombe, 18km east of the Perth CBD, will include 160 aged care beds, health and wellness facilities, rehabilitation services, research and training facilities and day respite services across 1.6 hectares.

Designed by architects Hassell Studio and to be built by Broad Construction, the site will also feature a dedicated dementia care wing as well as young disabled care facilities to provide high level 24/7 care for younger residents with age and lifestyle appropriate services and facilities.

Hall & Prior Chief Executive Officer, Graeme Prior said the project, which received $12 million in funding from the Federal Government, is designed to allow residents to ‘age in place’ and enable couples to remain together by catering for low- and high-care needs.

“This is a wellness precinct that will develop and evolve with the residents and community it serves. It’s design and functionality has been thoughtfully considered – not just for the ‘now’ but also with the realisation it will continue to service Western Australia for the next 50 years,” he said.
