1 min read

It was great to have such a strong attendance to our first professional development day post-COVID by the DCM Institute, held at the Sofitel Darling Harbour.

The strong program included Helen Emmerson, CEO of Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT (pictured), who inspired the audience with her career journey and vision for SCC and their 29 villages.

David Bruce-Clarke, Director of Alternative Investments at Jones Lang Lasalle, gave the audience a showcase of the role of valuers in the retirement village sector and how village managers can add significant value.

Kathleen Ng and Jonathan Chow from Minter Ellison gave a masterclass on village contracts and I gave an insight into the new opportunities and care models evolving out of the retirement village sector.

The DCMI PD Days are being rolled out over all capital cities this week and next week.
