Cairns newest aged care facility, Morinda at Whitfield, was officially opened at the weekend.
Owned and operated by Masonic Aged Care Queensland, the $20 million development has
been touted as the citys first holistic facility as it caters for all residents low, high and special
care. The site has been home to Masonic Care Queensland since the 1970s, but aged care
was until recently provided at three separate facilities. Morinda shares its site with Woodward
Retirement Village further facilitating ageing in place.
