ACSA announces it is establishing QLD and VIC offices plus big attendances at their National Conference

1 min read

At the first ACSA National Conference after the formation of alternative peak body Leading Aged Services Australia (LASA), ACSA National President, Rob Hankins, announced ACSA is establishing offices in QLD and VIC, effective next month. This will inevitably challenge the position of LASA in their heartlands as LASA was formed by Aged and Community Care Victoria (ACCV) and Aged Care Queensland (ACQ), along with Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA). Rob reports that ACSA already has numerous Not For Profit aged care and village operators from QLD and VIC signed up.

With over 700 conference attendees this week – equal to past years when the whole sector was represented – it would appear that the support of ACSA has not diminished. Hankins points out that many were QLD and VIC attendees and he was particularly pleased with numbers given the tight economic environment with ACFI and other financial challenges. LASA has its inaugural National Conference in Perth next month (28-31 Oct).
