The aged care provider announced earlier this month that it will transfer all 37 residents from Hazelwood House in Church Hill to Dalkeith Hostel – just 15 minutes away.
The relocation is part of Benetas’ five-year strategic plan to support all residents under its new model of care.
Before the Hazelwood House residents move in this November, Dalkeith will undergo an expansion and refurbishment for new “apartment-like” accommodation to create “a home-like environment” featuring “more flexible and personalised care.”
Once completed, the expanded Dalkeith facility will also feature a new café, sports bar, library, worship room and hairdresser.
