Catholic Homes gets 70 ILU Hawthorn village approval against council and resident objections

VCAT has approved a three and five storey village development in Elgin Street, Hawthorn. The Catholic Homes VCAT application gave the council just 10 days to respond; their accepted argument was that being located between the business and residential precinct, it was deemed ‘transitional’.
