COVID-19 cases reach 30 at Anglicare’s Newmarch House – all residents who tested negative being re-tested

1 min read

NSW Health has confirmed that 10 staff and 20 residents have now tested positive for coronavirus at Anglicare’s Newmarch House aged care home in Kingswood in Western Sydney – just six days after a staff member became the first at the home to be diagnosed.

NSW Health has tested all the residents and staff at the home, but as a precaution, Anglicare says all residents who tested negative are being re-tested.

Infected staff are self-isolating at home on full pay.

As we reported on Wednesday, the Not For Profit has deployed a specially trained team of Anglicare staff assigned to care for the residents who have tested positive that are wearing full PPE and caring solely for the infected residents who have mild or no symptoms.
