The Foundation has listed the 8,906 sqm site at 2 Uplands Drive, Parkwood, on the Gold Coast after the local Council began a review of zoning in the area to potentially allow the development of three-storey apartment blocks and retirement units.
The Foundation had bought the site for $1.18 million at the end of 2013 and received development approval in April this year, but we guess they see an opportunity to tap into the growing demand for land for village and aged care developments in the area.
These include Aura Holdings’ 11-storey The Pavilion at North Kirra and Aveo’s 16-storey vertical village at Labrador.
