Hall & Prior’s Karingal Green Health and Aged Care Community is an award winner

1 min read

It was more than a decade in the making and Hall & Prior’s labor of love, Karingal Green Health and Aged Care Community in High Wycombe, east of Perth’s CBD, has won the Property Council of Australia WA’s 'Best Mixed Use Development' award.

“Much more than a traditional nursing home, this health precinct applies the continuous care community model to help people age in place. The 160-residential bed development features a range of impressive amenities, including a multifunction space for 300 people, a luxurious in-house cinema, fully-equipped beauty salon, 150-seat auditorium and wellness centre,” said the Property Council of Australia WA judges.

Karingal Green Health and Aged Care Community opened in May last year. Hall & Prior has also just opened its $70 million 111-bedroom Georges Estate Health & Aged Care Residence in Penshurst, 17km south of Sydney’s CBD, and in a growing trend, is offering its community facilities to the general public.

Hall & Prior CEO Graeme Prior said the award was a “huge honour”, adding Karingal Green “represents a new era of aged care in Western Australia”.
