High life! Levande’s vertical integrated village nears sell-out
Key points

Levande’s record-breaking retirement tower races to sell out

  • Strong demand: 85% of apartments sold ahead of forecast
  • National first: The Cambridge is Australia’s tallest retirement village
  • Changing market: Retirees prioritising location, quality and community living
  • Integrated precinct: Retirement living sits above Opal HealthCare’s aged care home

Australia’s tallest retirement village, with 185 independent retirement living apartments, was officially opened in December last year.

Now 85% (134) of the apartments at Levande’s The Cambridge, the 28-storey retirement village in Epping, 18km north-west of the Sydney CBD, have been sold.

“What we’re seeing at The Cambridge is a clear mismatch between demand and supply for quality retirement living in a great, well-connected location,” Levande CEO Kevin McCoy said.
“The fact that we’ve achieved 85% of sales ahead of forecast is a signal that today’s retirees are prioritising quality, location and community, and they’re willing to act quickly when the right opportunity comes along.”
“What’s most encouraging about The Cambridge isn’t just the pace of sales, but what’s driving it. Even in an uncertain external environment, people are making a confident, positive decision to move, because they can see the quality of life, the connection and the ease that comes with it. That shift in mindset is reshaping what retirement living looks like in Australia.”

Delivered by Richard Crookes Constructions, The Cambridge sits within a larger redevelopment of the Our Lady Help of Christians church and school site, undertaken in partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay.

The lower four floors house Opal HealthCare’s 132-bed Epping Grand residential aged care facility, with the retirement living rising above.
