As of 3pm 7 April 2020, there were 5,908 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia – an increase of 113 new cases from 3pm the previous day – the Department of Health states.
45 deaths from the virus have now been recorded in Australia, with more than 310,000 Australians tested nationally.
