How many cases of coronavirus are there currently in Australia?

As of 3pm 7 April 2020, there were 5,908 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia – an increase of 113 new cases from 3pm the previous day – the Department of Health states.

45 deaths from the virus have now been recorded in Australia, with more than 310,000 Australians tested nationally.

Globally, the rate of confirmed cases is now 1.38 million with over 74,000 deaths recorded, according to Johns Hopkins.
