Lauren Jackson-Brown (pictured right) from Linton Village RSL Lifecare in Yass, New South Wales, has been named Leading Aged Service Australia’s (LASA) Retirement Village Manager of the Year 2020.

The five finalists were:

  3. Janine Thompson – Brightwater WA
  4. Sarah Masconi – Bethanie, WA
  5. Catherine Montgomery – Cranbrook Residences, NSW

Lauren, Janine and Sarah are all members of our DCM Institute of professional development in village management.

The awards are designed to promote and recognise the diverse, dynamic nature of the village manager role, and Lauren was praised for her strong leadership skills and ability to maintain a village that is vibrant and well-connected.

LASA chief executive Sean Rooney says people like Lauren provide a great example for the industry.

“The feedback from residents about Lauren is always glowing, as she strives to make a positive impact in their lives. She highlights the care and consideration of residents and she goes the extra mile in every aspect of her work,” said Mr Rooney.
