We heard this morning that Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) has just won Silver in the National Association Awards, and we thought it was worth distributing to our readers the good news story to round out the year.
When you consider the industries that have had their COVID challenges, aged care and retirement living must be close to the top. Peak bodies not only have to support their members in their daily operations but also be the face and voice to the public and Government.
LASA, and CEO Sean Rooney, have been that throughout 2020.
It is worth noting that LASA membership has grown by approximately 60% or 300 aged care and retirement living operators in the past three years and member satisfaction sits at 98%.
The outright winner of the awards was Restaurant & Catering Australia, who no doubt had a similar challenge compounded by all income evaporating for months for many members.
This award is great recognition of the LASA team effort.
