The developer has been recognised for its innovative approach to lifestyle amenities at Halcyon Greens, taking out the Master Builders Queensland 2020 Housing & Construction Award – Gold Coast for Tourism and Leisure Facilities over $10 million.
The $20 million, 2.4ha recreational precinct is part of the gated community Halcyon Greens, which is on a 34ha nature reserve island at Pimpama, north of the Gold Coast.
Completed in April 2020, the 24-month construction project is the largest, purpose-built over 50s resort and leisure facility in Australia and has an 18-hole Championship golf course.
Halcyon joint managing director, Dr Bevan Geissmann said the scale and variety of Halcyon Greens’ leisure facilities were similar to those in five-star resorts.
“The community’s unique design elements … include a Gold Class-style cinema, fully equipped gym and dance studio, hair salon and multiple function spaces, which offer residents the ideal balance of an active lifestyle and community connection, something our over-50s lifestyle communities are renowned for,” Dr Geissmann said.
Homes at Halcyon Greens are priced from $495,000 to $989,000 and went on sale in April with 33 sold in $20 million worth of sales.
