Michelle Sloane takes top job at SummitCare

1 min read

A management and board reshuffle at SummitCare has seen Michelle Sloane take the CEO position, while Glenn Scott has joined her on the board.

Ms Sloane, who has been with SummitCare since July 17, moves up from the Chief Operating Officer position to take the role of CEO; both she and CFO Glenn Scott (pictured left) have also been appointed directors.

Director Peter Wohl has taken the post of chair, and says the appointments will help drive future growth at the aged care provider.

“Our focus remains on our residents and our staff wellbeing, the increasing complexity and compliance requirements of the aged care industry, and our growth and sustainability as we navigate our way through the current COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are extremely proud of these appointments and look forward to an exciting future ahead as leaders in the aged care industry,” he said.

Owned and operated by the Wohl family since 1966, and based in Baulkham Hills, SummitCare today has nine homes across Sydney and Wallsend.

SummitCare’s Baulkham Hills facility was caught up in Sydney’s COVID-19 Delta outbreak in July, with 70% of staff furloughed after eleven cases were recorded at the home.

The Weekly SOURCE has contacted Ms Sloane for comment.
