Bupa Villages and Aged Care announces new MD

Australia’s fifth largest residential aged care provider has announced Andrew Kinkade’s replacement.
Jayant Krishnan has been appointed Managing Director, Bupa Villages and Aged Care (BVAC), after acting in the interim role since Andrew announced he would leave to head up Regis Aged Care in April.
Formerly Finance Director of BVAC, Jayant has been with the company for more than 15 years.
“Jayant has been an outstanding leader at Bupa for many years and has played a significant role in the success of our aged care business," said Nick Stone, CEO, Bupa Asia Pacific.
“I know he will continue to make a meaningful difference for our residents and their families.”
In his time with BVAC, Jayant has contributed to the aged care business’s growth and performance. His understanding of the aged care sector and focus on high-quality care perfectly positions him to lead BVAC in its next chapter, the company said.

Jayant will oversee 8,000 staff across 57 locations as BVAC MD.
Bupa Asia Pacific announced a $500 million refurbishment program of its older aged care homes in 2025 after reporting a profit of nearly $1 billion.
Andrew Kinkade commenced as CEO and MD of Regis Aged Care on 20 July.
