The ASX-listed residential aged care, home care and retirement village operator has named the replacement for Regis Aged Care’s outgoing Managing Director and CEO.

Andrew Kinkade, Managing Director of Bupa Villages and Aged Care, will replace Dr Linda Mellors who announced her departure in December last year.

Andrew, who has been at Bupa for five years, has been credited with delivering a significant operational and cultural overhaul at the provider following the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

Under his tenure, Bupa developed a nurse practitioner-led Wellness Hub approach to residential aged care, and earlier this year announced a nearly $1 billion refurbishment program across its 57 aged care homes.

Andrew has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior executive across aged care, healthcare, private equity and investment banking.

Prior to his role with Bupa, Andrew held senior executive roles at Bupa Dental Care, Catholic Healthcare and the National Home Doctor Service.

Andrew was recently appointed Director, Bupa Hong Kong.

The Regis Board thanked Linda for her significant contribution to the operator over the last six-and-a-half years, and extended a welcome to Andrew.

“Andrew is a values-based leader with deep sector experience. He brings an exceptional blend of operational leadership, strategic rigour and financial capability,” said Regis Chairman, Graham Hodges.
“His track record in delivering growth whilst leading complex transformations in highly regulated, people-intensive businesses makes him ideally suited to this role.”

Andrew said “aged care is an industry he was deeply passionate about”.

At Bupa, Andrew oversaw 8,000 staff across 57 locations. Regis has around 11,000 staff and 75 aged care homes.

Linda completes her notice period on 19 June 2026, and from 1 July 2026 will join funeral, cemetery and memorial park operator InvoCare as MD/CEO.

Andrew will commence his role with Regis on Monday, 20 July 2026.

Jayant Krishnan, currently Finance Director, has been appointed Interim Managing Director of Bupa Villages and Aged Care.
