New toolkit for helping people from CALD backgrounds make submissions to Royal Commission – extension on the cards?

A reminder that the Royal Commission is still ticking along in the background.

The Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) has developed the kit for carers and aged care providers to help start the conversation around the Royal Commission into Aged Care.

Written in plain English, the kit contains information about the Royal Commission and includes talking points that can lead to a submission.

The information is available in English and in 21 other languages with submissions due by 30 June 2020 – though it appears even this deadline may yet shift.

The Royal Commission’s website now states: “Given the continuing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline for submissions is subject to continual monitoring.”
