NSW Police and ADF checking aged care staff are complying with social distancing – at least seven facilities in the Illawarra audited

1 min read

The NSW Police Force and the Australian Defence Force have been visiting homes and businesses around the state to conduct Public Health Order checks – including aged care homes.

We understand the visits to aged care homes have focused on staff maintaining social distancing, for example, during admissions when four to five staff would typically be present, these are now being limited to three with other staff required to wait in offices nearby to speak to new residents.

“Operations are being led by police, supported by the ADF, to ensure adherence to all self-isolation requirements set out by the NSW Government under the Public Health Act 2010 (NSW),” their spokesperson tells us.

A reminder to ensure staff are keeping their distance at all times.
