Opal HealthCare to open Applecross Shore Care Community, Perth, later this month

Sydney-based Opal HealthCare is opening its latest West Australian “care community” on the foreshore of the Swan River in Perth at the end of the month.

Applecross Shore Care Community is built on the site of the former Opal HealthCare residential aged care home in Applecross, 10km south of Perth’s CBD.

It will offer a choice of 136 single and companion residential aged care places, all with ensuites and 24/7 clinical care.

Inside the rooms is a central social hub with a café, dining areas, entertainment lounge, a day spa and hair salon, and a dedicated memory support neighbourhood for people who are living with dementia. It will also have a Wellness Centre specialising in individual reablement and restorative care programs for both residents and members of the community.

Applecross Shore will provide residential aged care services to the south Perth community, alongside Opal HealthCare’s existing homes in Melville, Murdoch, Alfred Cove and Treeby Parklands.
