Pluss Communities in major land lease deal with GemLife

The ASX-listed Over 50s land lease communities operator has signed a contract with the retirement living app developer.

GemLife piloted the Pluss Communities purpose-built app at its GemLife Highfields and GemLife Highfields Heights lifestyle resorts on the Toowoomba Ranges.

Now the app is being rolled out across a further 10 established communities and six new developments in early delivery stages.

This is a major departure for the Pluss Communities' app which is extensively used in retirement villages.

“What’s stood out is the collaborative approach. Pluss have been incredibly responsive and open to feedback, which is important at this stage as we continue to refine the platform based on how residents are actually using it day to day,” Manuel Lang, GemLife's Chief Corporate Officer said.

“Working with Pluss gives us the flexibility to keep improving the platform as we learn what delivers the most value for homeowners. We look forward to continuing to build and shape the app over time as we roll it out across our communities.”

Pluss Communities' myGemLife app puts essentials information at residents’ fingertips, helping homeowners and contract holders engage with their resort community anytime, anywhere.

Thor Kappel Davis, Pluss Communities Chief Technology Officer, said the deal was sealed by the way the platform is developed.

"Rather than a one-size-fits-all product, Pluss is built around a library of independent, composable features that can each be switched on, configured, and fine-tuned for a specific community," Thor said.
