John McNamara of Suncorp stated that several pioneers of the industry, who sold out to the majors for top dollars over the past two years, will re-enter the industry, either buying up distressed villages at discounts of up to 40-50% to last years values, or developing new villages. As a financier to village developers, he stated that several such pioneers were at the conference.
Tom Gannon is one such pioneer that sold out the familys Gannon Estate Group of villages, who is already developing three new village sites, in Adelaide, Tamworth and Muswellbrook.
