As we reported here, the listed provider spent $12.1 million buying the beachfront site, 18km from Surfers Paradise, from motorcycle champion Mick Doohan last year.
The new facility will house 108 high-care rooms, 24 dementia care rooms and 45 high-care suites over the currently vacant 3,304 m2 site.
Regis also notes in its application that existing nearby and proposed developments are 13 and 15 storeys high – so the new building won’t look out of place.
