Residents now at home at Shepparton Villages’ $20 million Mooroopna Place

1 min read

Shepparton Villages’ Rodney Park Village’s Waratah Lodge, Boronia House and Grevillea Lodge residential aged care homes in Mooroopna, in Victoria’s Hume Region, are no more.

A $20 million redevelopment has resulted in a 100-bed facility known as Mooroopna Place, divided into the 60-bed Campbell Court wing and 40-bed Varapodio Way wing, with a central reception area and community area. It was officially opened on 21 April.

The redevelopment did not affect the 93 Independent Living Units on the Rodney Park Villages’ site and follows the completion of the $34 million 120-bed residential care home, Maculata Place at Tarcoola, Shepparton in 2018.

“Mooroopna residents rightly deserve a home that meets modern facilities that contribute to making residential care a home like environment,” said Shepparton Villages’ Board President Mike Hall.
