RVA Productivity Commission: submission update

1 min read

The Retirement Village Association (RVA) has met with the Productivity Commission to discuss its submission. The meeting took place last week at Deloittes in Melbourne and brought together 40 industry leaders, representing both the not for profit and for profit sectors as well as small and medium sized private operators.

Andrew Giles, CEO of the RVA told The Source Today that the retirement village industry is high on the Productivity Commission's (Commission) agenda.

"The Commission is taking our submission very seriously because of what our industry represents," said Giles. "We house over 16,000 people across Australia and the Commission is going to look at the economic efficiencies around providing care in a village setting.”

The RVA's submission will be delivered next week and then followed by an on-going engagement process between the RVA and the Commission.
