SA’s Barossa Village appoints new CEO

1 min read

South Australian Not For Profit retirement and aged care operator Barossa Village has appointed Ben Hall, its General Manager Service Delivery, as its new CEO.

Ben (pictured) has been with Barossa Village since 2019, and has taken over from recently-retired Simon Newbold, who led the organisation for 13 years. According to Ben, while he is not new to Barossa Village, he still has much to learn as CEO.

“I’m looking forward to asking questions, listening and getting to know the areas of the organisation I’m not yet familiar with to understand how I can best support the business going forward, both from a staff and client perspective,” he said.

Ben said he is looking forward to steering the operator through the challenges facing aged care and retirement living, including the ongoing impact of COVID-19.

“Inside every problem is an opportunity to be better. I love finding a solution and the feeling that comes from people coming together in a spirited and collaborative manner to do the same,” he said.

Barossa Village operates retirement living and aged care at Nuriootpa, Tanunda and Angaston in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.
