More than 30 of the homes are already sold, with the community only officially launched to the public over the weekend in Harristown, Toowoomba, around 130km west of Brisbane.
Seachange is owned and operated by Queensland private property developer, Pradella Property Ventures, who have put $10 million into the Toowoomba site so far.
Pradella CEO Warren Harris told The Toowoomba Chronicle that he expects the region’s tightening house market to drive more interest in the coming months.
“Naturally, some of the inquiries died down during the early part of COVID, but we were always encouraging individual appointments, so we’ve been surprised by the uptake,” he said.
“People have come to see us, they’ve been able to come to both the summer house, and then in July we finished this club house, and the reception has been great.”
As we reported here, Seachange is offering a $25,000 discount to new buyers at Toowoomba, who are not eligible for the Government’s HomeBuilder Grant.
