For a limited time, the land lease operator is giving buyers at its Toowoomba community in Harristown, 4km southwest of Toowoomba, a $25,000 discount on a new home to cover the loss of the Grant.
Land lease operators had welcomed the announcement of the Grant in June only to find out that retirement communities would not be eligible because home owners do not own the land on which their property sits.
Seachange is owned and operated by Queensland private developer, Pradella Property Ventures – which made its name building serviced apartments – and currently has five communities across south-east Queensland including its Toowoomba community which will have 162 home once complete.
