Survey says the Australians are prepared to pay for care

1 min read

The Menzies Center for Health Policy has just released its latest survey on the attitude of the Australians to the funding of ageing. They interviewed 1200 people by phone in the last month and found that 92% of older Australians were prepared to meet their individual costs for care. This supports the Federal Government’s intention to charge up to $10,000 a year for home care and $25,000 he is residential care after mid-2014, with a lifetime limit of $60,000.
