Teman Communities grows retirement village portfolio to 15

The private retirement and lifestyle village operator owned by Jamie Sterland and Braden Johnson has acquired a new retirement village in NSW.
Teman Communities has purchased the Jenny MacLeod Retirement Village in Wallsend, a western suburb of Newcastle, 162km north-northwest of Sydney.
The village, which has been renamed Greenwood by Teman, has 89 independent living units, mostly with two-bedrooms and single car garages.
“We recognise that a retirement village is much more than a place to live, it’s a home. Our priority is to ensure every resident feels supported, valued and empowered to continue living independently in a warm and connected community,” said Jamie Sterland, Teman Communities’ Managing Director.
He added the acquisition reinforces Teman Communities’ long-term investment in delivering high-quality retirement living while honouring the village’s established legacy and supporting residents through the transition.
Teman Communities previously acquired five retirement villages from Aveo in July 2024.
The group currently operates in Western Australia, NSW, Queensland, and Victoria.
