TLC Healthcare has announced a series of senior leadership appointments across its aged care business.

TLC Healthcare has appointed three senior executives as the Melbourne-based private provider continues to expand its integrated healthcare model, which combines residential aged care with services including primary care, childcare, allied health and health clubs.

The appointments include Shaune Gillespie as Chief Acute Care Officer, and Kylie Afford and Ryan Thomas as joint Chief Operating Officers for the aged care division.

All three are Registered Nurses, with the appointments forming part of a broader executive restructure following the retirement of long-serving Chief Operating Officer (Aged Care) Patsy Thomas after 11 years with the organisation.

Gillespie will take up the newly created role of Chief Acute Care Officer after serving as CEO of Northern Private Hospital with Ramsay Health Care. He will lead TLC’s expansion into acute care, overseeing the development and operation of five planned day surgery hospitals, including a flagship facility at Hallam.

Afford will move to TLC from Arcare, where she has been State Operations Manager, helping oversee growth of the provider’s Victorian residential aged care network from 19 to 32 homes.

Thomas transitions from Australian Unity, where he has served as General Manager of Residential Aged Care Operations, leading services across three states and overseeing operational, clinical and financial performance for more than 1,200 residents.

CEO and Managing Director Lou Pascuzzi.

CEO and Managing Director Lou Pascuzzi said the appointments reflected TLC’s commitment to strengthening leadership as the organisation continues to grow.

“As we diversify our footprint into acute care and scale our emerging businesses, reinforcing our leadership with top-tier clinical and operational talent is vital,” he said.

TLC currently operates 12 integrated healthcare precincts across Victoria and is progressing major developments including its Hallam Integrated Care Precinct and a proposed $250 million integrated healthcare precinct at the Rosebud Public Hospital site on the Mornington Peninsula.
