Odyssey tops out final tower at Robina lifestyle precinct

  • Major milestone: Final eight-storey Biarritz tower reaches topping out stage
  • Luxury living: New apartments add premium wellness and lifestyle amenities
  • Resident-led design: Existing residents helped shape the new tower
  • Growth story: Odyssey pushes ahead with more Gold Coast developments

Brisbane builder Mettle and Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities will celebrate a milestone at the operator's first retirement living and aged care hybrid development.

The topping out tomorrow (Friday 15 May 2026) afternoon is for the fourth and final tower, Biarritz, at the Robina facility, 85km south of Brisbane, which Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities opened in September 2020.

The Biarritz building will provide an additional 68 apartments, including one and two-bedrooms units and, for the first time at Odyssey Robina, three-bedroom apartments in the eight-storey tower. The site's amenities include an activities hub, an areas for visiting medical and allied health practitioners, a place of worship, movie cinema, hairdresser, gym, bocce green and outdoor sitting areas. It will connect with the existing Malibu tower via a skybridge.

There is a total of 153 apartments in the other three six-to-eight storey towers, of which 97 are one bedroom.

“The construction team is now focussing on the finish to complete this remaining stage of the Odyssey Robina precinct,” Mettle Construction Manager Damian O’Leary said.
“The ongoing collaborative approach between Odyssey and Mettle have put the project in a great position to finish on time, to the highest quality, aligning it to the needs of the local community.”

Odyssey founder Phil Usher says this stage is particularly exciting given that residents were consulted during development.

“Our residents have been involved in the process, with their feedback and ideas helping to shape this new tower, and a number of them will be there on Friday to celebrate the milestone,” he said.

The ingoing contribution to an apartment at Odyssey Robina ranges from $830,000 to $1,470,000, according to the Queensland Government's Village Comparison document.

Odyssey has two further developments underway at Chevron Island and Hope Island. It has also announced a fourth site.

The Odyssey model is built around a resort-style environment where couples stay together, pets are welcome, grandkids can have sleepovers and most importantly, the dignity, independence and well-being of residents are highly respected.
