The VHA has developed a series of videos and posters on the new Standards (which came into effect last Monday, 1 July) aiming to assist public hospitals delivering residential aged care support their frontline staff transition to the new standards.
The educational videos align with each of the new eight standards and were developed with the support of the Department of Health and Human Services.
The VHA has also created a suite of tools and resource including a pack for boards, a guidance resource and an organisational self-assessment monitoring tool aimed at supporting services to align their systems with the new standards and identify and address any gaps in their practice.
