Why mecwacare invested $20M in its tech transformation: LEADERS SUMMIT 2025 videos available online

1 min read

At the 2025 LEADERS SUMMIT 2025, Anne McCormack, CEO of Victorian aged care provider mecwacare, and Sanmeet Bhatia, Vice President Public Sector and Health (Asia Pacific/Japan) with global tech consultants Cognizant, spoke about their journey to overhaul the aged care provider's technology systems.

From the outset, they wanted the project to be "transformational" for the organisation, and the $20 million investment has successfully reduced the 40 systems used throughout their operations down to 10, including Salesforce and Workday.

mecwacare's experience will be relevant even to small providers as technology is increasingly central to aged care operations due to the growing complexity of aged care under new reforms and with constraints on resources such as workforce.

This session was one of more than two dozen held at 2025 LEADERS SUMMIT, DCM Group’s flagship strategy and networking event focused on the challenges and opportunities facing aged care and retirement living operators.

DCM Group has now made nearly all the presentations from the SUMMIT available on The Weekly SOURCE website to support the industry with ongoing leadership and strategy development.
