Winners announced for inaugural national HESTA Excellence Awards

The eight winners from the inaugural HESTA Excellence Awards for Outstanding Organisation and Team Excellence have been revealed. 

The awards highlight the dedication of workers in disability services, allied health, aged care and community services with each winner awarded $7,500 in prize money donated by event sponsor ME Bank.

Award Winners:

OUTSTANDING ORGANISATION

  • Aged Care

ECH (Enabling Confidence at Home) Inc, Parkside SA: For their innovative and inclusive aged care model.

  • Allied Health

Cyclabilities Evatt, ACT: For providing quality learning opportunities for children with vulnerabilities and disabilities.

  • Community Services

Justice Connect, Sydney and VIC: For helping people access legal support and delivering high-impact interventions.

  • Disability Services

Synapse Australia Ltd: For providing specialist service to people impacted by a brain injury, including stroke and dementia.

TEAM EXCELLENCE

  • Aged Care

Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults, Swinburne Psychology Clinic, Department of Psychological Sciences, Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn, VIC: For providing outstanding mental health care.

  • Allied Health

PACE (Pulmonary and Cardiac Exercise and Education) Team (pictured above), Alpine Health, Alpine Shire (Bright, Mount Beauty, Myrtleford), VIC: For delivering outstanding client care.

  • Community Services

Wongee Mia Ruah Community Services, Subiaco, WA: For an innovative housing pilot program to end cycle of evictions and homelessness.

  • Disability Services

Sharon’s 24/7 Support Team Interchange, Maddington, WA: For significant contributions to people living with disability.
