$40M RAC will be CPSM Care’s fifth in Brisbane

1 min read

CPSM Care has submitted plans to build a $40 million 140-bed aged care residential development in Brisbane’s south east.

CPSM Care already has four aged care homes in Brisbane – Aspley, Holland Park, Lodges on George at Kippa Ring and Magnolia Aged Care Coomera. Another at Kedron is being redeveloped and is closed.

It has submitted plans to build a new aged centre at Camp Hill, which on the company’s website is under construction with a scheduled opening of April next year.

“Instead of normal rooms and a large dining room to seat everyone for dinner, this facility will feature good modern homes with different wings and lounges as well as balconies and outdoor spaces for every room,” CPSM Care business manager Shane Winterton told The Courier Mail.

“Despite our nearest facility being very close in Holland Park, we believe there’s a definite need in the community and that area for aged care like this where we’ll have good homes and service.”

Allity Aged Care had plans for a 151-bed facility on the same site approved by Brisbane City Council in 2017, before withdrawing their proposal in 2019. Then CPSM Care bought the site.

CPSM Care’s application has 10 fewer beds and turned the entire first floor level into an underground car park with 65 spaces.
