Hinkler MP Keith Pitt labelled the figure “completely unacceptable” in Parliament last week.
“I say to the Labor government in Queensland: just because we are in a regional area, that should not matter; get yourself sorted,” he said.
Interestingly, Federal Government funding for aged care in Hinkler has actually increased by almost $3.7M from 2014-15 to 2015-16, with an extra $37M received.
It just goes to show – funding does not always solve the challenges of delivering aged care services in regional areas.
