Anglicare Sydney adds social and affordable housing to retirement living mix

1 min read

Anglicare Sydney is allocating social and affordable housing to its retirement living portfolio at three sites.

In total, 550 apartments are being created for mainly women over 55, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander women over 45, as part of the NSW Government’s Social and Affordable Housing Fund.

At three sites – Minto, 38km southwest of Sydney’s CBD, Rooty Hill, 42km west of Sydney’s CBD, and Dapto, a suburb in Wollongong, on the NSW South Coast provide a continuum of care model for seniors living.

Anglicare Sydney executive general manager property Peter Paltoo said the model gives Anglicare opportunities to extend the services it already provides.

Anglicare looks to integrate its community services and aged care expertise at each of these developments, and to connect tenants to support available at community groups, Anglicare services and local Anglican churches.
