Aura lodges another DA for big village at Gold Coast golf club: long-term lease deal

Tim Russell and Mark Taylor’s village operator is continuing to kick goals, lodging an application for a 233-apartment village on golf club-owned land at the Parkwood International Golf Club.

Aura will pay Parkwood an annual lease payment for the right to occupy the land which Mr Russell says will ensure the “ongoing sustainability” of the golf course.

This is their eighth development since founding Aura 18 months ago. They now have funding by Singapore’s SC Capital.

The proposed plan includes six buildings between four and six storeys with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments – half with views of the golf course plus a range of community facilities.

The news follows last week’s announcement of Aura’s deal with the Toowoomba Golf Club for a $30 million, 78-unit village on their course.
