Australian expat David Droga leads Top10 US ad agency Droga5

1 min read

It is always important to recognise the quality of Australian creative people and ad agencies.

In researching great marketing campaigns to inspire us this week we were looking at the best ads in America and spotted the New York Times “The Truth Is Worth It” campaign by the ad agency Droga5.

In America this is a really important series of ads because the New York Times is the primary target, along with CNN, of Donald Trump. It is his hometown paper.

The founder of Droga5 is David Droga, who grew up in Sydney. His first ad agency job was here in Balmain, just near our office.

He founded Droga5 in New York in 2006 when he was 38. It is now ranked the No. 10 agency in America. Google is one of their clients. Check out their show reel HERE.

Check “The Truth Is Worth It” ad HERE. The campaign shows the lengths the NYT journalists go to unlock the truth, despite the increasing dangers and new threats that stand in their way.
