Bain-marie blamed for fire at Bundaberg aged care home

Local emergency crews were called to a fire at the Riverlea aged care home in Bundaberg last week after a small electrical fire was started in a bain-marie heating appliance.

Staff quickly used a fire blanket on the blaze – a good reminder to operators to ensure staff are educated about electrical fires.
