Bupa offloads part of its UK aged care home business for £300M

1 min read

The private healthcare provider will sell 122 of its aged care homes to the UK-based health and social care provider HC-One.

As part of the deal, Bupa will keep around 150 aged care homes and six Richmond retirement villages with over 9,000 residents.

Bupa UK chief executive David Hynam says the sale will allow them to focus on their existing investments, which includes spending more than £120M refurbishing homes and building four new homes and two villages this year.
