Catholic Healthcare merges NSW Central West retirement village and aged care

Jemalong Retirement Village

The merger will see the existing Jemalong retirement village in Forbes, five hours’ drive west of Sydney, redeveloped and residents of the local Mater Aged Care facility moved to the village site.

Stage one of the development will include an integrated aged care campus, a 36-bed extension to the existing aged care service, a dementia specific space, chapel and a new 20-unit retirement village.

The two facilities are the only aged care services in the town, which has a population of around 10,000.
