Estia has broken ground on a new residential aged care home in St Ives, Sydney.

The 118-bed facility will include dining and living areas, a hairdressing salon, outdoor terraces, onsite parking, and a memory support unit for residents with dementia.

According to Estia Health’s Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO, Sean Bilton, the home will provide high-quality residential aged care for locals in Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

“We are excited to mark the construction of our new home which will provide much needed aged care services to the local community – this will be our fourth home in northern Sydney but our first in this region, adding to our homes at Manly Vale, Willoughby and Epping,” he said.

The home is slated for completion in late 2023, and will employ more than 120 care and hospitality staff; Estia’s most recent Sydney facility opened in Blakehurst, in the city’s south, in early 2021.
