Hall & Prior appointed as management and clinical advisor to Hocart Lodge in WA

1 min read

The WA and NSW private operator Hall & Prior is to take over the management and be the clinical advisor at stand-alone Not For Profit Hocart Lodge in Harvey, 140km south of Perth’s CBD.

Hocart Lodge, which began as the home of Annie Corbett Hocart who donated her home and adjoining land in memory of her husband John Perceval Hocart, provides accommodation for 70 aged care clients.

Hall & Prior recently expanded into the state’s South West region, taking over the management and operations of Tuia Lodge in Donnybrook from the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup.

With 30 aged care homes across WA and NSW, Hall & Prior will bring its Registered Nurse-led care model to the home.

“We are relieved to have found an organisation that shares the care-centric values that Hocart Lodge was founded on, and also has the resources and skills to ensure that the home can deliver the very best aged care to the people of Harvey,” Chair of the Board of Governance at Hocart Lodge, Glenys Chambers, said.

We are thankful for the support of Nola Marino MP, Member for Forrest, and the Commonwealth Department of Health for their support in this period.

“Hall & Prior is a family run business, and I feel very confident that they are the right people to improve both care and management at the home.”
