Huge NSW Central Coast club development, including LLC seniors homes, gets planning green light from Council

A massive development at Doyalson on the NSW Central Coast, including seniors living homes, has received Council planning approval and is on its way to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.

Doylo Lifestyle Group – owner of the Doyalson-Wyee RSL and the nearby Raw Challenge obstacle course – has been given the go-ahead by Central Coast Council to redevelop 45 hectares of land over 20 years; the precinct will include low-density housing as well as 220 manufactured homes for seniors, suggesting a land lease community may be in the offing.

The project has six planned stages, with the first stage involving the construction of a new signalised intersection on the Pacific Highway plus childcare and medical facilities; the seniors living development will not begin construction until stage four, nine years on, and is estimated to take three years at an estimated cost of around $40 million.

“The planning proposal will facilitate an opportunity to redevelop the site to create a mixed-use development that will include community, recreation, residential, tourism, retail and hospitality uses centred around the redeveloped Doyalson-Wyee RSL Club,” the group said.

The planning proposal now goes to the NSW State Government, and will return to Council for the Development Application process if approved.
