Kathryn Greiner appointed to head up NSW inquiry into retirement village standards

1 min read

Ms Greiner is well-known as a heavy hitter in the aged care sector, having served as the Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Ageing since 2012 as well as leading the recent internal review into the NSW Catholic school system.

Former husband Nick Greiner is President of the Federal Liberal Party.

The inquiry is part of a four-point plan announced by the State Government, which will include a compliance blitz by NSW Fair Trading; an overhaul of the Retirement Villages Regulation 2009; and a new online calculator to help prospective residents to compare village fees and charges.

As we reported here, the NSW Govt commissioned KPMG to build the calculator earlier this year.
