The Retirement Living Code of Conduct – which started 1 January – supports the new Australian Retirement Village Accreditation Scheme (ARVAS) introduced by the two bodies last October.
Operators wanting to apply for accreditation under ARVAS must be an active subscriber to the Code of Conduct.
The Code will be overlooked by a Review Panel, chaired by Dr Elizabeth Lanyon, which will undertake independent oversight, monitoring and review of the Code, its content and matters referred to it by the Code Administrator.
